The reason I chose to copy this front cover is because it carries some similarities of the piece I wish to create for my final as it has a silhouetted character within another character.

(Original version)
Work in Progress:
To begin recreating this piece I used illustrator to try and recreate the main image which was a silhouette of the three bears and goldilocks, to try and make it as similar as possible I imported the book cover into the illustrator document I was working on and put it near the piece I was working on so I could see the basic shape of the silhouette and where everything went overall I was pleased how the vector image turned out even though it was a little bit squashed and some bits a little different.

After creating the main subject I began working on the background of the piece which was a cardboard texture, so to try and create something similar I used iStock to try and find a cardboard texture, eventually I found the texture that I believed was right for the background, I then dragged this image into photoshop and realized that it was a slightly different color so what I did to fix this was I added a photo filter adjustment layer, this allows me to tweak the overall shade of the color and make it slightly more similar to that of the original piece.
After creating the background I added the vector image of the bears and goldilocks to the piece, and began working on the text, to try and recreate the text used on the original piece I used the 'warp text' tool as this allows you to create bends and curves in your text, which was useful as the text on the original piece was curved, after getting the text right I adjusted a few extra bits and I was finished.
