These are my scamps, scamps are rough ideas of what my final piece could look like, this process helps build ideas and allows me to see a physical version of my ideas, it also allows me to experiment with ideas as I can easily restart the idea as it is only a rough drawing.
The first set of scamps are definitely my favorites what I am planning on making at this early stage is a twist on the cover as usually it contains Little red riding hood and the wolf for my cover I may just use the wolf as the main cover as I believe this would appeal more to the age of children that this version of the book is aimed at.
The second set of my scamps are more experimental and ideas that I may not use but I tried to see if they might look good, although I am thinking about potentially using the bottom scamp as a starting point for my final piece design.
Also with my scamps I have tried to capture flaws in the images for example with the 4 image of the scamp it has the girl with the hood/cape on but in the cape it has been flawed by the wolfs head that it shapes inside, it kind of shows how something which is meant to be perfect can be flawed.
